Crysis dated for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3
by Steve Watts, Sep 26, 2011 7:45am PDTCrysis, originally a PC-only powerhouse game that served as the perfect showpiece for your rig, recently received an announcement of impending console ports. Now we've learned that you won't have to wait much longer if you're a console player who missed out on the initial release. The game is set to release on October 4.
GamePro reports that (as expected) it makes use of CryEngine 3, the updated engine optimized for consoles. As previously reported, it also includes new lighting effects and stereoscopic 3D. It will cost $19.99 on PlayStation 3, aka 1600 MSP on Xbox 360.
On the Xbox 360, the recent Resident Evil 4 remake slid past the Xbox Live Arcade size restrictions by presenting itself as a Games on Demand release instead. We've wondered if Crysis could squeeze into the 2 GB limit, so we'll have to see if it imitates RE4's clever strategy.

Then again it (Crysis 1 MP) doesn't throw you scooby-snacks every time you do something right so perhaps they are doing the right thing by keeping it from the console crowd.
