Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade seemingly outed by BBFC
by Steve Watts, Mar 28, 2011 10:00am PDTSuper Street Fighter IV Arcade may come to home consoles after all. The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) has rated the game, giving it an age guideline of "12" like the other Street Fighter IV titles. The board also lists the release date as June 24, but take that date with a fistful of salt.
The Japanese Arcade edition includes new characters Yun and Yang, along with balance tweaks. Producer Yoshinori Ono has considered bringing the changes to consoles, but seemed unwilling to make it a retail release. This rating certainly sounds more like a boxed product than a bit of DLC, so Ono may have changed his mind.
As usual, consider this a rumor until we hear it from the horse's mouth. We've contacted Capcom for confirmation and will update as more information becomes available.
