I'm curious how people will rush out to get the MadCatz controller, which is certainly capable of handling Pro Mode, but isn't a real guitar.
Furthermore, will people that can't wait and snag the MadCatz controller be upgrading to the real deal in a few months? Time will tell!

And while I'm a bit biased, let's talk about those other things you list as bullshit:
KillerNIC: Actually gets real framerate improvements in many games because the UDP network stack in Windows is horribly optimized. And by "real framerate", I mean "while playing multiplayer in some online FPS games, you can get up to 30%". That's not bullshit.
PhysX: Actually gives you unprecedented physics simulation on the GPU. Are the addin cards bullshit? Sure, but they never sold to wide retail. Is PhysX itself bullshit? Not now that it uses the GPU.
DLC: Umm... It's pay as you go. I don't see the problem.
