Green Day: Rock Band Hitting in June
by Alice O'Connor, Mar 11, 2010 7:18am PSTGreen Day: Rock Band is slated for a worldwide release on June 8, publisher MTV Games has announced, heading to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii.
Developed by Harmonix and Demiurge, the pop punks' rhythm game offers 47 tracks from their varied catalog including "Brain Stew," "Jaded," "Hitchin' a Ride," "American Idiot," "Wake Me Up When September Ends" and "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" complete with the vocal harmonies feature introduced with The Beatles: Rock Band.
Unlike The Beatles, Green Day's RB game allows Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners to export the tracks for use in any core Rock Band title (Rock Band, Rock Band 2, Rock Band 3) for $9.99. The six Green Day tracks previously released as Rock Band downloadable content will also be playable in GD:RB, tarted up with vocal harmonies.
Meanwhile, Harmonix recently announced that Rock Band 3 is out this holiday season.

Meh, meh, meh, okay, meh, and meh. I LOVE Green Day, but if this consists solely of singles, I'll be pretty disappointed. How about some "Church on Sunday" or "Castaway" or "Deadbeat Holiday"?
