Green Day: Rock Band Developers Clarified

4
Following a recent discovery from info-sleuthing site superannuation, in which Demiurge Studios' Adam Rosenfield revealed that Rock Band developer Harmonix had enlisted Demiurge to help make Green Day: Rock Band, publisher MTV Games has confirmed the collaboration through statements to both Joystiq and Destructoid.

Demiurge Studios previously worked with Harmonix on the Rock Band: Country Track Pack and the Rock Band: Metal Track Pack, and were also responsible for the PC port of Mass Effect. MK12, the design firm behind the fantastic cinematics for The Beatles: Rock Band has also been brought on board to contribute.

Harmonix is no stranger to working with others, having previously sought contributions from developers like Traveller's Tales (LEGO Rock Band) and Backbone(LEGO Rock Band DS, Rock Band Unplugged PSP). Sharing the development load could be a helpful strategy, given that there's more than one Rock Band game in the works for 2010.

Yayy more projects for Demiurge! I think they've earned a lifetime of goodwill from me for that Mass Effect PC port. :D

Good work by them. I'm glad they are keeping busy, but this project...I just wish it would die.

Seriously. I hate it when people make music games that don't fit my taste. Fucking jerkasses.

Hey. I didn't like the Beatles, but I can respect that they are a beloved band and made great music, and so I never complained about Rock Band: Beatles. But Green Day is bad. Any way you cut it they are bad. Period.
