Risen PC Goes Gold, Xbox 360 Version Delayed

Months after dating Piranha Bytes' action-RPG Risen for October 2, publisher Deep Silver today revealed that the Xbox 360 edition has been pushed back to early 2010.

Despite the unexplained delay of the console iteration, the PC edition will still make the promised October 2 release, with Deep Silver noting that the latest from the Gothic veterans has "reached gold status" following months of bug testing.

I'm playing gothic 3 with community patches right now, and I;m having tons of fun. if only the melee combat was better. i've seen in several videos that they've returned to the old style timed combos in Risen . THANK GOD!!

Gothic 2 was one of my favorite games of all time and 3 was atrocious. Glad to see screenshots without that awful depth of field effect too. Stoked! Hope they put it up on Steam or D2D.

Instant purchase! I love Gothic 3 (comun patch), I am sure this is gona be even better.

Word on the street loot will be organized more like Wow and have the same color system. If this is true it will be perfect, can't wait.

Looks like the tables are turned this time! Just hope this one is a little more polished than the Gothic series. Really wanted to like those games, but just couldn't get passed the controls.
