Quantic Dream--developed of Indigo Prophecy--shows off quick-time interrogation and crime-solving gadgets in new screenshots of its grim adventure game Heavy Rain.

As with Indigo Prophecy--known as Farenheit outside North America--Heavy Rain's story will be told through the eyes of several characters, and shaped by their actions.

Published by Sony, Heavy Rain is out late in the year exclusively on PlayStation 3.

Indigo Prophecy was incredibly fun for the first few hours, and then the QTE started getting more and more abstract, pointless, and frequent until the gameplay just boiled over into absolute annoyance. The plot moved very slowly - finally I just gave up when a certain QTE sequence was taking 4+ minutes to get 3/4 of the way through, and then it would just kill me randomly. Heavy Rain looks to have a great engine, but I learned my lesson, I hate QTE games.
