New Castlevania Heads to PS3, Xbox 360
by Chris Faylor, Oct 09, 2008 11:59am PDTDeveloper Konami has announced that a new entry in its vampire-slaying Castlevania franchise in is development for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, reports ITmedia.
Few details are known at this point. Following a brief teaser trailer depicting a well-dressed man with a glowing red sword, series producer Koji Igarashi commented that he hadn't expected the game to be announced yet.
The new title will mark the first Castlevania game designed for the PS3 and Xbox 360. While the franchise traditionally has players exploring a 2D or 3D castle, the series is soon expanding into the fighting genre with Castlevania Judgment (Wii).
