I played Castlevania Judgment at E3 next to famed Konami producer Koji Igarashi. An awesome experience to say the least, but admittedly somewhat awkward.

On the one hand, Igarashi's presiding guidance of the series—serving as the series' producer since shortly after 1997's Castlevania: Symphony of the Night—has brought about some of my favorite Castlevania games, including the DS entries Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin.

Konami E3 Screenshots Rock The Ef Out: Castlevania Wii, Castlevania DS, Rock Rev, More

Publisher Konami has issued a truckload of media to accompany today's E3 festivities.

Included in the screenshot explosion are Castlevania Wii and DS, Rock Revolution, Lost in Blue Wii, Silent Hill 5, Time Hollow, New International Track and Field, and more.

Castlevania Fighting Game Media Shows Caged Owl

Konami has released the first screenshots and artwork from Castlevania Judgment, the first fighting game take on the vampire-slaying adventure series, due on Wii this fall.
Featuring the artwork of Death Note manga artist Takeshi Obata, Judgment pits series characters such as Dracula, Alucard, Simon Belmont and Maria Renard against one another in 3D combat, complete with motion-sensing controls and online multiplayer.

Castlevania Fighting Game Announced for Wii

After years of speculation, publisher Konami today announced that its adventure-based Castlevania franchise will hit the Wii in the form of the series' first fighting game.

Titled Castlevania Judgment and due out this fall, the game is said to pit several generations of the vampire-slaying Belmont family against their numerous foes in 3D combat, complete with motion-sensing controls and online multiplayer.

"This combination is certain to thrill old and new fans of the franchise," said Konami marketing VP Anthony Crouts.

Few details were provided, though players will be able to make use of environmental weapons in addition to the series' usual whips and swords. Certain characters will be able to set traps on the battlefield and "make use of monsters."... Read more
