New FaceBreaker Video Features Actual Gameplay, September 5 Launch Date

Electronic Arts delivered a new trailer from EA Canada's FaceBreaker (PS3, Wii, 360), showcasing an actual match from the upcoming toonish boxing title. The video also confirms the game's release date as September 5.

Unlike the publisher's previously released character introductions, the new trailer shows off newcomer Spin within a typical match from the game, giving gamers a look at the title's interface and special moves.

One can only hope this is pre-tweaking stage since it seems sped up, kind of like what they were doing with SF4 in the early stages. As much as this needs to be a fast paced boxing game, this looks too fast and would lead to massive button mashing like others have been saying.

Otherwise I'll be looking forward to this game, I always liked the Ready to Rumble series, it provided many hours of entertainment.

This looks great, both the art and gameplay. I wish there more over-the-top moves, combos, or something else, though. The fight gets sort of repetitive with just punches.

Hello, Ready 2 Rumble Round -14.

Already we can tell that this a fighting game inside the confines of a boxing ring rather than an actual boxing game. Super Punch-Out in the arcades was a better boxing sim than what this is looking to be.

This is the best trailer so far. I have been really uninterested in this title thus far, odd considering i am a boxing freak, but this actually looks like fun in the context of actual gameplay. I thought the character trailers were terrible...
