Xbox Live Fall Update Adds 'Friends of Friends' Option
by Carlos Bergfeld, Nov 26, 2007 11:22am PSTIn addition to the debut of Xbox Originals, the Xbox Live fall update will also give members of the community a social networking-like friend-connecting feature when it debuts December 4. Dubbed "Friends of Friends," the option allows gamers to view the friends list of anyone who has the feature enabled, Microsoft announced today.
For those frightened of Xbox Live friend-stalking, the feature's setting can be modified as of today at the Xbox.com Friends of Friends site. For members older than 18, the default setting at the feature's launch will allow everyone to view their friends lists. Gamers can also block the feature entirely, or make their list viewable to "friends only."
In the interest of safety, Microsoft won't allow gamers younger than 13 to enable this feature, and only those older than 18 can set their list as viewable to the general public.

Can that be so effingly hard to do?! =/
Right now it's just beyond retarded to play public games and stay in public chat. Either people have major feedback, breath so heavily you would think they were having sex, or just use local language -like what me and me friends do. Obviously this is annoying for everyone.
Please please please give us support for more people in private chat!

It should allow individual users to decide whether or not their account will appear on their friends' friend-of-friend lists.
That's confusing, but basically I should be able to decide whether or not my buddy can show my name on his friends list. The way they're describing it now puts all the trust users' friends rather than in the users themselves.
