Microsoft has today announced that a new Xbox Live downloading service, dubbed "Xbox Originals," will be available starting with the December 4th fall update to Xbox 360 consoles.

Halo, Psychonauts, Crimson Skies and Fable have been officially confirmed to hit the service, though it is unclear which games will launch with the update. Reports indicate that Indigo Prophecy (known in Europe as Fahrenheit), Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex, and Burnout 3 will also be available in the future. Each title will carry a price of 1200 Microsoft Points ($15).

Also announced were a few bonuses for Xbox Live subscribers in celebration of the service's fifth anniversary. The Xbox Live Arcade title Carcassonne will be available for free over a period of 48 hours to all members, beginning November 15. Additionally, those who have been subscribed since 2002 will receive 500 free Microsoft Points.
