Ubisoft Promises Assassin's Creed PS3 Patch
by Chris Faylor, Nov 26, 2007 10:06am PSTUbisoft is currently working on a patch to resolve the freezing issues some are experiencing with the PlayStation 3 version of Ubisoft Montreal's Assassin's Creed. The pre-meditated murder simulator was released earlier this month on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with the PC version planned for an early 2008 release.
"We can confirm that we are actively working on a game update," UK Community Manager UbiRazz posted on the game's official message board. "This update will help improve the stability of the game and will be released as soon as possible."

Frankly, I understand the negatives that others have with the game, but from my perspective, I've been riveted by both the premise and the fundamental gameplay all the way through. I love the collecting and exploration. The free-running is amazingly badass. The depth of detail and sheer vastness of the cities is almost overwhelming. The level of polish is off the charts. The controls are intuitive and hold up as being solid and fun, even 20+ hours into the game. Surprisingly, I even find myself wrapped up in unraveling the story.
Can't wait for the PC release.

What are those people that doesn't have their console connected to the internet supposed to do?
(Hell.. i'd bet that there are some who still doesn't have internet, yet owning a console).
Do publishers/devs make it possible to dl the patch to a pc located somewhere else, and then with a burned copy use that to patch things up? Or do they assume that all is connected?
