BioShock PC Demo Released

The BioShock PC demo is now available for download on FileShack. Here is your thread to anticipate things and things. Firstly, it's been made very clear that you are going to need the latest NVidia or ATI drivers for your videocard. So here are the links that you will need :

With the help of Limelight Networks we will be pushing some pretty massive bandwidth for Mercury members for the demo. Feel free to grab a download accelerator if you are a Mercury member. The Quicksilver servers support them and the BioShock demo will be available there.

I really enjoyed the demo, even though I have a hard time enjoying scary games. The game controls beautifully, the graphics are awesome, and it runs like a dream on my rig (e6750 oc'ed @ 3.5GHz, 8800GTS 640MB, 2GB ram)

I replayed the demo for a second time and the random placement of enemies and stuff made it feel fresh and one of them snuck up on me and scared the living shit out of me, because I forgot about the random thing and thought I got all the enemies in the area.

The gun/plasmid combo is brilliant, I love the way it works and can't wait to play with more weapons in the full game.

I just wish I wasn't such a scaredy cat. :(

  I really need to learn more about overclocking, I'd like to push my E6700 past 3.2GHz while keeping the 400 MHz FSB/1:1 ratio. Pushing to 3.2 is a single voltage tweak on my P5K Deluxe but beyond that things get flakey. :(
