I can't stand night vision, it's just not fun to look at a green screen for any length of time.. I don't care if it's realistic.

Lukewarm. Til I saw the price. $30? Now I'm completely turned off - maybe since they figured some people spent $20 on four maps (DOD: Source) they could charge $30 for eight? I might have considered the expansion for about twenty but that's a bit much for night vision and jet skis. I hope people speak out with their money on this crap.

I'm using BF2 to try and quench my thirst for Mercenaries (I prefer playing on my computer instead of my PS2). However, I'll admit I'm sitting here going "Expansion or Mercs". This'd be solved if I could play Mercs on PC, Pandemic menz....

i dont really think im going to buy this. i already have counterstrike what do i need counterstrike with poor aiming code for? and if they can make zip lines for this stupid expansion why cant they add the drop lines to the transport choppers in a patch for the original?

No more BF products for me. I was very disappointed with BF1942 patches, then I thought they'd do better with BF2 but boy was I wrong. Maybe when they get to BF5 I'll reconsider, but they've completely lost my interest. Die a horrible death, EA.

Isn't it strange how the company making this game think that all special force missions take place either in the evening or at night, because thats wrong.. A lot of them take place at all times of day, Nightvision will not sell this product

Buy Operation Flashpoint GOTY edition instead!!! Its cheaper, has tons of content, offline play with bots, shackbattles, goofy mods, sweet mods, dirt bikes and it gets you tons of chicks. I swear. Plus its not made by EA.

This news item should give everybody yet again another opportunity to complain about the flaws of BF2 and the fact that nobody will buy this expansion.

I think I personally learned my lesson when I picked up Road to Rome and yet a majority of the others passed = not as much shackbattle goodness.

Despite its flaws, BF2, especially with teamwork, is a fun game. The BF formula is still a winning concept and the proposed tweaks by Umax and others hopefully will be implemented so we can bring back that BF2 magic.

I hope this bitch isn't trying to kill that guy with:
1) that Support Weapon
2) W/ said support weapon at a distance more than 5 feet
3) standing up FFS
4) MOVING STANDING UP FFS x10

any factor above usually means he'll die in that encounter, but all of them together means he's just one more unsatisfied, dead, bf2 player.

I'm not gonna be narrow minded with this expansion like most people. Sure I don't expect it to be awesome, and I'm also not going to buy it the first day it comes out. But I'm not one of the people that thinks it has anything to do with them sucking at patching games, and I'll buy it if others say it's fun. But I haven't seen anything about it that makes me want it other than more urban/infantry focused maps.
