Late Night Consoling

25
I have a sad, sad confession to make. I haven't tried Halo 2 multiplayer. *sob* Don't look at me! Okay, look at me. Ever since the dog chewed through the network cable, I've been too lazy to replace it. Actually, I did try once, but I screwed up crimping the connector and gave up. However, I plan to set up a wireless network this weekend to accommodate the arrival of my PSP, so that may be a good time to fix that cable problem. What online PSP titles are you guys picking up?

Halo2's mp never really appealed to me. Felt far too boxed in, wheras in halo1 you at least had lots of open space and felt like you could move around a lot.

Same goes for singleplayer too I suppose.

I think Halo's biggest detriment to SP was that it just threw an objective at you, a huge ass level with some baddies, then left you to fight your way to your supposed destination. I'm not sure how many times i got lost trying to find my way to certain areas while having some hellacious firefights, but giving in to frustration because the path to your destination was too vague.

Halo 2 actually benefitted from it's linearity.

Strangely enough...no, I loved FarCry! I think I know why though. It goes back to what I was saying. You had clear objectives and a clear destination in FarCry. Which, given the size of the levels, was a contrast to Halo IMO.

Whoh, Far Cry was way more confusing than Halo1. I only got lost a couple of times in Halo 1. But Far Cry I was always doin circles.

That only really happened to me once or twice, but I never got frustrated with it. For once I was glad that it wasn't as linear as Halo 1
