What's with the lack of a screen on the iPod shuffle. I'd probably get it if it wasn't for that. The regular (and mini) iPods cost a bit more than I'm willing to spend on something that plays music, but $149 wouldn't be too bad.

Still liking Firefox. Mouse gestures are neat.

What's the latest version of Firefox? Is it still 1.0? I'm not counting the nightlys, of course.

To clarify: the preferences window is buggy and the IRC clienrt is laughably bad compared to 2.0.

I haven't had an issue with my preferences window and if I need to use IRC, I open mIRC. Trillian is all about the IMing for me. I love it.

I've had a lot of times where I check/uncheck an option, my computer locks for two-three minutes, then when it unlocks, the option is still the same as it was before I clicked. I have no idea why.

The "real IRC" plugin will come in 3.1. A lot of people are rather angry about the 3.0 plugin.

Understandably so - to completely redo the features is fine, but to release a version that doesn't even do basic things like list channels is ridiculous, especially when basic functionality is alive and well in 2.0. Any word on release?

I find the preferences window much more 'limiting', I don't feel as though I have the same degree of control I did over things in 2.0. At first I thought I was in basic mode or something, but I couldn't find any additional options.

That's my only gripe with it so far. I have a 'real' IRC client for the rare occassions when I use it.

File transferring working behind routers + Grouping IRC windows did it for me. Granted, grouping on creation is broken and aforementioned IRC sucking sucks.

I paid $5 to get v3 because I wanted the new history things, I am sure the only real plug-ins in the future will be for it, and I like the program in general. $5 was worth the upgrade.

Hijack: I bought How To Operate With a Blown Mind last night. Only had time to get up to the track after Battle Flag. It's "meh" so far. :( Although I'm not going to give it a final verdict until I've listened to it all the way through several times and can finally understand wtf he's saying.

protip: ignore wrekked train and focus on the music.

that's the biggest problem i've had in turning people on to that cd. they get so focused on his retarded ramblings that they miss all the good stuff.

Will do. I'll let you know once I've had a chance to get through the whole CD a few times. Also, is there ANY track that features Many Tentacles? The man is heavily underused, from what I've heard so far. Or maybe he just sucked for the first album, and got better later.

kool roc bass has a few nice riffs, and battleflag is all him. he's more prominent on their more recent stuff, though. in fact, that many tentacles pimping on the keys track is probably his best.
