how can you say ultra-powerful vehicular combat turns you off but yet you play Battlefield every day?
Granted, my first experience ever with Battlefield was last Saturday at a lan party. The guys that were experienced in piloting the choppers in Desert Combat pummeled the opposing ground forces and those things are a bitch to take down with those stinger rockets. How does that vehicular combat differ from what Battlefront offers?-
you need practice with the stingers then, its wicked easy (or was last time I tried). I remember playing lost village where the allies never got a single helo over the lake.

I hate to say it but hes just making excuses for why he wont like it.
Bottom line. Pandemic has shown time and again they make good games.
They loved BF1942 and used that as a recipe for this.
For anyon to say "I read this review and their opinions were crap, but somehow I believe what they said when they described the game." and to say "I love BF1942 but this game sounds dumb." is just patently wrong.
however that being said, I dont blame him for being leary, I am going to buy it first thing and even I am leary of another lucas franchise product. They are BIG gambles and end up being either super great or super crappy, no real middle ground.
But Pandemic at the wheel really does soothmy nerves. Plus the UT04 and BF1942 SW mods SUCK, badly, I dont mean a little, I mean B A D L Y....-
that's why i'm picking this game up as soon as possible. not because it's a lucas arts thing, because well you need to look no further than jedi academy to realize the depths they are willing to spelunk in order to release a craptacular game. I'm getting this because hopefully they looked at BF1942 and released a nice proper star wars impression of it. Galactic Conquest was rather bland, hopefully this is a proper Star Wars game ala BF1942 (which really was a good thing and I feel ashamed for not picking it up way back when so I coudl be a part of these historic shack battles)

All I am saying is why would you listen to ANY part of the IGN review. You see for yourself they make no sense. But you are still willing to listen to them.
Maybe, just maybe, they suck so bad at the game they get killed by anything remotely looking like a vehicle. Does that mean you cant take them down? No, it means the I Got Nothin' reviewer sucks.
And no I wasnt verbatim quoting your comment, obviously, I was simply saying, your going by what the IGN review says in on instance, but not in another.
the reviewer is either full of crap, and therefore EVERYTHING he says is suspect, or hes accurate, which one is it?-

The review read fine to me. I don't recall any contradictions. The point he makes about walkers being extremely powerful and that no single player has a chance against them doesn't take a genius and doesn't sound far fetched at all. Your barb about "maybe, just maybe, the guy sucks so bad " and "Bottom line, Pandemic made this game" sounds more like bias than his statements do.
