Halo 1.05 Patch

Microsoft has released a new patch for the PC version of Halo, updating the game to version 1.05. The 4.6mb hot fix "addresses a rare crash bug that could occur if a malicious individual (hacker) purposely sends a malformed packet to a game server. In addition, it incorporates fixes to resolve compatibility problems with Windows XP SP2 and certain 256MB video cards, which could cause the game not to launch, or not to display chat messages". LOL how can you call a user exploited bug "rare"? It can happen as often as someone wishes to exploit it.

For a while Halo was our Friday-game-day game of choice at my company. I tried to whip out a custom map for us to play on but ran in to a ton of seemingly random export errors. (Fixing one mesh related problem would introduce another somewhere unrelated.)

Has anyone had any success building maps?

  you just need to fix all the mesh problem the error .vml file gives you : armaduck
