I find that as soon as I shoot my gun, the sound goes to all hell, and I have to mute or quit. Anyone else had this? I'm running a Tbird 1.4/GF3/SBLive X-Gamer with the latest drivers.

How about a fix for the game trying to run my monitor at a toasty 200-240 refresh rate? needless to say, my monitor can't handle that.

now how to fix the problem I have?
whenever I start the game, whenever I start the mission and sometimes whenever the program feels like it, it will just throw me back to the desktop, I have to click on splinter cell in the taskbar, it will show me the intro movie then throw me back to the desktop, when I click on it again it will get me back to the game... till the next time.

winxp home, p4 2.0, geforce 4 mx 460, det 4.whatever drivers (the latest version)
