Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics Brings Lovecraftian Horror to World War 2

Beware the Nazis and the Eldritch abominations.

2

What happens when you combine World War 2 with a series of Eldritch abominations and Cthulhu? You get Achtung! Cthulhu Tactics, of course, from Auroch Digital and publisher Ripstone. The upcoming turn-based strategy game will pepper in RPG elements with its unique take on World War 2, where if you can believe it, Nazis won't be the worst enemies you'll find yourself up against.

The game is based on Achtung! Cthulhu, the RPG universe and tabletop game from Modiphius. You'll find yourself forced to pit your own strategic skills against the Nazis' supernatural warfare division, as they come out swinging with a suite of devastating powers, which is totally unfair. This includes the power of the Elder Gods, and likely somehow Cthulhu, though that isn't immediately clear. That sounds like a terrifying combination though, that's for sure.

You'll control a team of agents who find themselves hanging out from behind Nazi enemy lines, where you need to stop a series of occult experiments taking place in an underground bunker. So basically, you should probably watch out before the Nazis storm out to mess you up fun time. It should offer an intriguing mix of turn-based strategy and role-playing mechanics, so keep an eye out for when it launches on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC later this year.
