Good news is on the horizon for fans of Techland's first-person survival title Dying Light. The team took to the stage during Microsoft's pre-E3 2018 briefing to show off some of what players can expect in Dying Light 2, a return the series featuring "a fluid parkour system" mated to "deep and tactical first person melee combat."

The game takes place during what the developers call "the modern dark ages," and the big pitch this time around is that players' actions will have "genuine consequences" that are reflected in the people and the locales featured in-game.

Purportedly just about everything in the game world can change based on the players' decisions: one example was access to a fresh water supply, the likes of which is capable of bringing relative peace to the people in the streets, but also allowing the player to replenish their own health on-the-go.

There's still no official word on when the game will release, but players are expecting to hear more about the game's release date sometime later this year.
