There were a handful of reveals that came during the very first EVO Japan. A chunk of those reveals came from SNK, which included a follow-up on a game first revealed during the recent Nintendo Direct Mini from three weeks ago.

SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy got its next trailer, showing off new character Nakoruru from Samurai Shodown and The King of Fighters XIV. "Showing off" is probably a good phrase to use to describe this trailer, because it came with a noticeable "Dead or Alive" vibe. Yes, the combo mechanics of the King of Fighters games were on full display. And speaking of "full display," all the fighters were in bikinis, cat ears, and skimpy outfits, because reasons. Of course, there will be plenty of different outfit pieces to earn over the course of the game, for those looking to dress up the fighters however they want.

SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy is set to hit PS4 and Nintendo Switch this summer. For more, check out the video below.

The other SNK-related reveal came from Atlus, in the form of the next DLC character for The King of Fighters XIV. Meet gentleman card shark Oswald, who makes his return from The King of Fighters XI. He uses his deck to dice up his opponents, pulling off multiple combos that utilize his dangerous deck of cards. See Oswald in action in the trailer below. Look for Oswald to hit The King of Fighters XIV alongside several other DLC characters in April.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
