'Justice League' Gear Comes to Injustice 2 Today

You might have heard about a certain superhero movie coming to theaters this weekend...

Some might have heard that there's a superhero team-up movie hitting theaters nationwide this weekend. But this isn't about Denzel Washington teaming up with Colin Farrell. This is about "Justice League." Warner Bros. and NetherRealm weren't about to let a tie-in opportunity pass by, so Injustice 2 owners may be happy to hear about a chance to earn some movie tie-in gear for their characters.

Injustice 2's Multiverse mode will feature special challenges, tied in specifically to the "Justice League" movie's release. Completing these challenges will allow players to earn wardrobe pieces taken straight out of the movie. Make your Batman look like the grizzled Ben Affleck Batman or make the blond-haired Aquaman into a much gruffer Jason Momoa Aquaman, just to name a few examples. Outfit pieces will be available for Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Cyborg, and Aquaman. The Multiverse challenges will span across the console versions of Injustice 2, as well as the free-to-play mobile version of the game.

Like the Wonder Woman tie-in content before it, these Multiverse challenges will only be available for a limited time. As long you're in the Multiverse mode, you may also want to complete those limited-time Hellboy missions. Maybe get a refresher on what Dark Horse's cameo character can do first.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
