Everything You Need to Know About the Star Wars Battlefront 2 Beta

EA and Dice delivered a big budget reimagining of the original Star Wars Battlefront games in late 2014 to coincide with the hype surrounding the theatrical release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in theaters. Using technology built upon the framework of Battlefield 4, the Swedish shooter masters at Dice were able to craft a multiplayer-only experience around classic Star Wars battles and locations. Despite being one of the best looking and sounding games ever produced, Battlefront 2014 was heavily criticized for a lack of single player content and lack of features commonly associated with Dice’s previous efforts. This year, the studio is preparing to address those criticisms with Star Wars Battlefront II and is offering up a public beta to let players get a taste of the improvements.

When Does The Star Wars Battlefront II Beta Start?

The Star Wars Battlefront II beta will run from October 6-9 and players who pre-order the game prior to September 30 can get a 2 day head start on the public when beta early access starts on October 4. The Battlefront II beta will be open to players on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. EA has confirmed that any progress made during the beta period will not carry over into the full game when it arrives November 17.

How Do I Access the Star Wars Battlefront II Beta?

Beta access will open to all players with an EA account. Xbox One players can access the beta from the Xbox Store. PS4 players can access the beta from the PSN Store. PC players will need to download the EA Origin client and sign in to download the beta.
