The Title god roll - Destiny 2

Published , by Rise of Bacon

The Title returns to Destiny 2’s Guardian Games event with an updated set of perks. This Void, 750 RPM returns better than ever with some much more worthwhile rolls to chase during the event. With perk combinations suited for any Guardian loadout, The Title is definitely worth chasing during the event.

The Title will only be available during the Season 20 Guardian Games event, from May 2 to May 23.

How to get The Title

The Title will be obtainable from participating in the Guardian Games event. You are awarded a static roll version for progressing through the Best in Class quest received by Eva upon your first visit to her in the Tower.

This quest includes playing your regular Destiny 2 content to gain medals from completions. You then deposit these medals into a podium located in the Tower. Eva Levante will also be the Vendor offering loot chances for further drops.

The Title is a new Submachine Gun introduced to Destiny 2 during Guardian Games 2022 and has returned for 2023. This SMG sits in the Energy slot and deals Void damage, making it an excellent option for those Void-centric builds. It also pairs nicely with a primary Sniper Rifle like Silicon Neuroma. Though the new perks are better, it might struggle to compete against other options, specifically, The Immortal.

The Title god roll for PVP

For PVP, Hammer-Forged Rifling is the strongest pick for the barrel to help push Range to its furthest. This feeds into Ricochet Rounds, giving this fast-firing SMG an advantage outside the usual Range.

The Title - PVP
Barrel Hammer-Forged Rifling (Range +10)
Magazine Ricochet Rounds (Range +5, Stability +10)
Perk 1 Dynamic Sway Reducation (Improves accuracy and stability while continuously holding down the trigger)
Perk 2 Rangefinder (Aiming this weapon increases its effective range and zoom magnification)
Origin Trait Classy Contender (Final blows with this weapon grant class ability energy)
Masterwork Range or Stability
Mod Counterbalance Stock (Recoil Direction +15)

Dynamic Sway Reduction comes in strong here for its Stability boost and how its bonuses ramp up quickly over time. With The Title being a 750RPM weapon, it performs best in a closer ranges amongst the current meta of SMGs. Pushing the Range out with the added Stability bonus of this perk provides a lethal combination. If you wish to push toward an aggressive playstyle, Threat Detector is a worthy swap but does lose its highest tier benefits if you aren’t around many enemies.

Rounded off with Rangefinder and its bonus aim assist, The Title will be a formidable weapon in the Crucible in the right hands. Best to add a Counterbalance mod to this weapon to help control its high-kick recoil when firing.

The Title god roll for PVE

When it comes to a PVE god roll, Arrowhead Brake is the pick of the barrels due to its higher recoil control and how it reins in those initial bumps when shooting. This tends to work wonders on fast-firing SMGs like this one.

The Title - PVE
Barrel Arrowhead Brake (Recoil +10, Handling +10)
Magazine Flared Magwell (Reload Speed +15, Stability +5)
Perk 1 Threat Detector (Increased reload, stability, and handling when enemies are in close proximity)
Perk 2 Repulsor Brace (Defeating a Void-debuffed target grants an overshield)
Origin Trait Classy Contender (Final blows with this weapon grant class ability energy)
Masterwork Stability or Handling
Mod Minor Spec

Flared Magwell provides more Stability to help keep the shots steady. Additionally, the bonus Reload Speed will keep the next wave of bullets coming to help melt your enemies. If you are feeling the kick too much with The Title, Ricochet Rounds will help boost Stability to help you land shots.

Threat Detector is the best all-rounder here for The Title. Due to its high RPM, enemies can be melted with how quickly you can burn through the mag. Being in the thick of the action ensures high Stability and Reload speed while you do so. The Title will shine brightest in the lower to mid content so there’s less threat overall being amongst large groups of enemies.

Repulsor Brace is a stand out perk when paired with a Void subclass. This is enhanced even further in Season 20 with artifact perks such as Volatile Flow and Shatter Orbs, though it could be of limited benefit in future seasons. Volatile is the best debuff to look for here when setting up as this means The Title can maintain Volatile Rounds by being a Void weapon making this a highly effective mob clearer.

A strong alternative would be Swashbuckler for its buff to damage when fully rolling at five stacks. The Title will work wonders in close combat so landing a final blow melee for Swashbuckler should come easy.

The Title’s new perks make it a triumphant return to Destiny 2 this Guardian Games. The new perks give it a new lease on life and make it a more desirable pull for Guardians during this event.
