How to get Revoker Pinnacle weapon in Destiny 2

Published , by Sam Chandler

Revoker, the Pinnacle weapon for Crucible, is a Sniper Rifle added with Season of Opulence in Destiny 2. Because it’s a Pinnacle weapon, expect to take a long time unlocking Revoker but also expect it to be awesome. There are some attractive features on Revoker, so unlocking it as quickly as possible is a good idea.

How to get Revoker, Pinnacle Sniper Rifle

Unlocking Revoker, the Crucible Pinnacle weapon, requires completing In Your Sights.

To start the process of unlocking Revoker, head to Lord Shaxx in the Tower and pick up the quest, In Your Sights. This quest has a single step, and all of it involves getting kills with a Sniper Rifle and earning Glory:

The first two are pretty simple to understand. Equip one of the best PVP Sniper Rifles in Destiny 2 and start cracking heads. If you’re new to sniping, expect to spend a lot of time missing. What’s really important is that you find a rifle that matches your playstyle. Try the rapid shot snipers, the slow and powerful snipers, or the adaptive ones. Find your comfort zone.

You will need to get at least 50 precision kills, so aim to get this done as fast as possible. The 300 final blows with a sniper don’t need to be precision, so body shots will be fine.

As for Glory, well we’ve got some bad news. Glory ranks are only available in Competitive Crucible. You will need to dive into Competitive Crucible and start earning Glory, which means winning. Thankfully, even if you lose Glory through the Crucible, it won’t be reflected in the quest, so don’t sweat the losses.

Revoker perks

Reversal of Fortune refunds a bullet after you miss, you just need to wait a moment.

The main perk that sets Revoker aside from other Sniper Rifles is Reversal of Fortune. This is basically a Mulligan that is guaranteed to proc. If a shot you take misses, wait a second or so and it will return to the magazine. And if you fire and miss again? Well it’s exactly the same: it will be refunded after a short pause.

Revoker also comes fully Masterworked, which increases its Handling to roughly 25%. This should make landing shots a bit easier.

Whether or not it’s worth your time grinding out Revoker will be totally up to personal preference. For myself, Crucible isn’t something I play a lot of, and this type of Sniper Rifle doesn’t really fit the current PVE meta. The stand-out Pinnacle weapon this season is hands down the Wendigo-GL3. This Grenade Launcher trivializes a lot of endgame content. But, it’s always nice to have all the Pinnacle weapons for a season, and Revoker has its place in Crucible.
