Steam Controllers will get another round of beta testing

The Steam Controller is odd. Even after a bit of hands-on time, we were a bit confused. Valve is planning on shipping out another batch of Steam Controllers to developers and users to get feedback.

Steam Machines prototype specs revealed

Described as "something special," Valve's initial Steam Machines prototype is a "high-end, high-performance box" built from off-the-shelf PC parts. Valve says that anyone can go and build exactly the same machine, minus the custom enclosure.

'Steam Machines' beta launches this year, full release in 2014

Valve's second "living room" announcement came today, taking the wraps off of its "Steam Machines" initiative. It will be sending out 300 prototypes to users this year, in preparation for a formal launch in 2014.
