Ever wonder what those record World of Warcraft subscription numbers translate to? Over a billion dollars in revenue, according to a Vivendi financial statement released today.
Vivendi subsidiary Blizzard Entertainment posted revenues of $814 million euros (US $1.2B) last year, up 58 percent over 2006.
The numbers are attributed to the first quarter release of the company's first MMO expansion, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, in addition to an all-time high of 10 million worldwide Warcraft subscribers. Read more »

A new entry in the innuendo-filled Leisure Suit Larry series is headed to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this fall, property holder Sierra Entertainment has announced.
Dubbed Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust, the title details the exploits of Larry Lovage, the nephew of former series mainstay character Larry Laffer, as he goes to work on Laffer's movie lot.
Lovage first appeared in Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude (PC, PS2, Xbox), which was developed by High Voltage Software. It was the first Larry title made without Lowe's involvement and was met with a lukewarm critical reaction upon its 2004 release. Read more »
