Madden NFL 13 Wii U review: rookie potential

Although the Wii U version of Madden NFL 13 has long since missed the opening kickoff, it offers football fans an interesting option for those that have yet to play it on Xbox 360 and PS3. While lacking polish, this incarnation of Madden utilizes Nintendo's GamePad in interesting ways, making it an exciting prospect.

EA Sports Season Ticket to include over $100 of DLC this year

EA Sports' Season Ticket program is coming back for another year. And it provides a far greater value than last year's debut offering.

As before, the $25 Season Ticket grants you early access to this season's games. You'll be able to download an early version of Madden, NHL, FIFA, Tiger Woods, and NCAA three days before its retail release via PlayStation Network or Xbox Live. Note that while these games are fully playable for three days with the membership, you'll have to actually buy a copy if you want to play beyond the trial period.

EA Sports head admits Madden franchise was not as 'innovative' as other games

The Madden franchise is a regular gold mine for Electronic Arts to exploit. But is it EA Sports' best game? EA Sports head Andrew Wilson admits that the Madden franchise hasn't offered its A game in recent years.

"I do believe that Madden did not have the level of innovation that some of our other franchises have had," Wilson admitted.
