Indie game developer Nyamyam was founded in late 2010 by former Rare developers Phil Tossell and Jennifer Schneidereit. While their experience has consisted of Microsoft first-party titles like Kinect Sports, their first indie title appears to be much different. Tengami brings an atmospheric adventure to a pop-up book world. Originally set to come to iPad, Nyamyam recently announced that the game would also be coming to Wii U. To learn more, Shacknews talked to Schneidereit about the game and this recent news.

Rovio, the cash-injected developers of the Angry Birds series, has announced Rovio Stars, a new publishing initiative. According to EVP Jami Laes, the company's foray into third-party publishing will "help our fans find quality entertainment" on crowded app stores.
Not only will Rovio help market games they publish, but they will give them "that last coat of polish," making it more of a co-development opportunity than at other publishing arms. "We're focusing on a small, select number of games, and each Rovio Stars launch will be an event of its own," director of development Kalle Kaivola said in the announcement.

Despite its odd release window, Haunted Hollow proves to be charming and engaging, even managing to overcome many typical free-to-play tropes.

It's difficult to describe a game like Hiversaires. The debut game from solo developer Devine Lu Linvega dips players into a nocturnal, ambient environment shrouded in mystery. And it's mystery in every sense of the word, thanks to a completely minimalistic presentation. It's sure to entice curious explorers seeking to unravel wide-open environments piece-by-piece, but it's also just as likely to turn off anyone that needs any sense of direction.

Making your own deck is one of the finest parts of playing Magic: The Gathering, but sadly we haven't been able to do this in the Duels of the Planeswalkers video games. This year's installment, Magic 2014, will finally introduce deck construction, in a way, with a digital version of sealed deck. You'll get to open virtual booster packs and make a deck out of the cards, then throw down against other wizards.
