In response to deafening complaining from the Internet, Mass Effect 3 will receive an updated ending. The free Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut DLC won't outright change what happens, but will expand upon it, showing more of what's going on.

"Through additional cinematic sequences and epilogue scenes, the Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut will give fans seeking further clarity to the ending of Mass Effect 3 deeper insights into how their personal journey concludes," EA explains in the announcement.

The Internet was all in arms yesterday after eagle-eyes spotted a line in Origin's terms of service stating that EA could delete accounts after two years of inactivity: "If you have not used your Entitlements or Account for twenty four (24) months or more and your Account has associated Entitlements, your Entitlements will expire and your Account may be cancelled for non-use."

Turns out, there's nothing to worry about, and nobody risks losing their games.
