Some developers were quite livid with Nintendo's approach to downloadable games with the Wii Shop. However, it appears Nintendo's newly launched eShop for Wii U dramatically improves the experience for devs. According to Frozenbyte, the studio behind Trine 2, the eShop is competitive to services like Apple's App Store and Steam.

Goblins are a menace. We know this because Trine 2's DLC campaign Goblin Menace says so in its name, and next week we'll get to find out exactly why they are a menace. But they definitely are. Developer Frozenbyte today announced it'll launch on for PC and Mac on September 6 for $7, though if you own the Collector's Edition on Steam you get to to play a bit of it right now for free.
