It appears FOX's attempt to turn Family Guy into an online MMO wasn't the success it had hoped. The online game is being shut down on January 18th.

Family Guy Online has flung open the doors to Quahog with waves of beta invites. Registration is still open if you want to be among the residents.

Fox shares more details on the Family Guy Online MMO, and opens up the character creator for users to test out.

Without much fanfare, FOX has quietly announced Family Guy Online, what appears to be a browser-based MMO adaptation of the popular animated comedy series.
"Finally an alternative to water boarding. Guantanamo wardens are happy."
