Bethesda has announced details for their next Skyrim update. Patch 1.6 will add one of the fans' most-requested features: mounted combat. With the update, players will be able to do melee and ranged combat while riding a horse, as seen in the screenshot above.
In addition, the 1.6 patch will add a flurry of bug fixes, including general stability and memory optimizations, AI pathfinding optimizations, and crash fixes for data leaks. The update will be available on all three platforms, but there's no date yet.

The announcement of The Elder Scrolls Online has been a long time coming, but some fans weren't sure how the series' tone would transition to a larger world. The Elder Scrolls is known for being a large-scale, solitary experience, and the player is featured as the center of all the plot. The game's creative director, Paul Sage, has explained how he doesn't believe the core experience of The Elder Scrolls needs to change much.
