No More Heroes 2 Waiting Until January 2010

Fans excited for Grasshopper Manufacture's No More Heroes 2--in full-gore or light-gore flavors--will have a while longer to be excited: it's tentatively set for a January 2010 release in North America.

Publisher Marvelous boasted in its Tokyo Game Show press materials obtained by Siliconera that the game is estimated for January 2010 in North America and February or March for Europe. Oddly, no Japanese release date was mentioned.

Announced during the Tokyo Game Show, the sequel to the 2007 off-kilter Wii brawler is to be an expanded title focused on revenge, according to designer Goichi Suda.

Despite considering an Xbox 360 version, the game will remain a Wii exclusive on account of the Wii's remote control.

No More Heroes 2 designer Goichi Suda has bestowed upon the internet the first details of the Wii action sequel after dropping a teaser trailer at the Tokyo Game Show last week.

"I wanted to make a lot more stuff, more detail. So this time in No More Heroes 2, I want to take my revenge," Suda revealed to Eurogamer. "And actually, the theme of No More Heroes 2 is revenge, so..." Suda trailed off, laughing to himself.

No More Heroes 2 Debuted With Teaser Trailer

The debut trailer for the sequel to Grasshopper Manufacture's Wii action title No More Heroes has been released via the Tokyo Game Show.

Little is known of the project as of yet, other than the alternate title, "No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle."
