Rumor: GTA 4 DLC Adds 15 Hours of Gameplay, Updated Xbox Dashboard Coming in November

27
The first of the two pieces of Xbox 360-exclusive downloadable content for Grand Theft Auto IV will add approximately 15 hours of gameplay to the 360 version when it hits this November, according to an unconfirmed report from web comic RPG-TV.

Allegedly sourcing a Microsoft London representative, writer Chris Thomas further claims that the new Xbox 360 dashboard--packing an updated look, game install support and Netflix streaming--is likewise slated to arrive in November.

Both Microsoft and Rockstar Games have remained mum on the details of the exclusive GTA 4 DLC, only confirming that it will arrive this fall. Likewise, Microsoft has only officially stated that the new Xbox dashboard will hit in the fall.

Shacknews has contacted Microsoft for clarification and confirmation of these details, but had yet to hear back as of this writing.

Chris Faylor was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

That's a pretty big rumor. 15 hours of added gameplay would be a sure buy for me.

Watch out. The "15 hours of nothing new" patrol is probably on its way.

Actually, if they added 15 hours of the same schlock that was in the SP game, then yes that would be a huge disappointment. However, given what some of the main critiques were - they have probably added a great deal of polish to those scripted events.

Also - amazing how misleading that first screenshot is, of the guy falling off the roof of a skyscraper - as moments such as those were incredibly rare. I can only think of one mission where you even battled people on a skyscraper roof. Given that 99.9% of the roofs are inaccessible without a helicopter made me cry a little.

I hope it's 15 more hours of police missions with zero rewards! More opportunities to earn money with nothing to spend it on! Or maybe you can now play 9-Ball!

The gameplay is the reward. The police missions were great fun and I've love more of them.

I was sad when it ended, to be honest. The game was all kinds of fun.

      Yay.

15 more hours of go there, kill him, come back to me.
