Vigilante 8 XBLA Delayed Until June

Despite being announced for a spring release, developer Isopod Labs has revealed that its Xbox Live Arcade re-imagining of Luxoflux's cult-classic vehicular combat title Vigilante 8 is not expected to arrive until June.

Titled Vigilante 8: Arcade, the downloadable Xbox 360 game is based on the original PlayStation and Nintendo 64 release, with the Isopod Labs team including several key members of the original V8 crew. Along with the expected graphical tweaks, it will feature eight-person online multiplayer and new, unspecified content.

"Our best guess is early June, but we'll keep you all updated," reads the studio's blog. "We were gunning for April and the game is is pretty much finished--we're currently tuning, working out bugs, and making sure the game runs well online and complies with a zillion little Microsoft requirements."

Isopod Labs also revealed that it is presently working on downloadable content for the game, though it offered no more details than a tease that the DLC is "neat."

I fail to see how GTA4 and Vigilante 8 are the same thing. They both may have cars, but that's about it.

Hello, don't you remember the entire storyline of Vigilante 8 where you had to get jobs from various mob bosses while managing the complexities of your social life and tweaking your engine?

Jesus, Faylor, you're the worst journalist ever in the history of ever.
