Grand Theft Auto: Chat Andreas

We're a little late, but here's the weekend bump of the Grand Theft Auto IV discussion thread.

I just made it to the last mission, and boy howdy, it's tough. But approaching the end, I have a newfound respect for Rockstar's ability to put together a story. The epic saga of one Niko Bellic, as far as I'm concerned, is the best in the series.

I don't want it to end, but hey, everything does. And when it's over, I can still hop online for high-octane shenanigans with the rest of the Shacknews staff. So as we careen into the weekend, how are you all finding the game? Any crazy finds, big spills, accidental explosions into chunky kibble? Report in the comments.

I have not binged on a game like this in a very long time. In fact I can't remember that last time a game dominated my thoughts like this.

Not to mention this is the first time the entire ShackStaff has ever joined together and collectively lost itself in multiplayer sessions.

Yeah this is the first game I've played for more than 2 hours in a single sitting since STALKER. Going back for more now that dinner has been eaten :D

This is the problem with these games and the reason I don't play them, generally. Like tonight, I started playing at 3 today and I quit at 8. I didn't realize how long I had been playing. The game sucks you in so deeply, it's hard to pull away.

Diablo 2 was another hardcore binging game for me. WoW to a far lesser extent, as it was never really exciting just tons (of the same) to do.

I can see myself playing a lot of the side missions. I'm about 15% in to the story and I haven't even gone on a rampage yet, which is rare. Usually I do a mission or two and get bored and try and burn down the whole city. I'm digging the story and the characters, and I really wanna have all the islands unlocked.

as soon as I accidentally get one star I tend to just say fuck it and see how far I can take it (unless I'm mid mission). So fun.
