Free Hack Lets You Play Superhot VR on HTC Vive

Developer Superhot Team promises official support is coming 'soon.'

Superhot VR is on its way to HTC Vive, according to a tweet sent out by developer Superhot Team. If "soon" is too nebulous for your tastes, a free hack will let you play without waiting (via Road to VR).

Until today's announcement, Superhot VR remained an exclusive for the Oculus Rift. Revive, the hack in question, enables full compatibility between Superhot VR and your Vive headset. To get up and running, just download Oculus Home and grab the latest version of Revive. Purchase and install Superhot VR through Oculus Home. Boot SteamVR, then put on your headset, and click the Revive tab.

According to Road to VR, players have used the hack to go through the entire game without encountering any bugs or glitches. Revive looks like a viable alternative to official support from the developer for consumers who already own Superhot VR for Oculus Rift. If you're a Vive owner, however, you shouldn't have to wait long before Superhot Team spills the beans on a proper release on SteamVR.
