Game Awards 2016: Arkane debuts a new trailer for Prey

'An amorphous black substance?' This is fine. Everything's fine.

Arkane debuted a new trailer for its Prey reboot at tonight's Game Awards. An incident on a space station during the 1950s planted the seed for anti-gravity action in the future.

"In Prey, you are the first human enhanced with alien powers aboard a desolate space station under assault," according to a description of Prey from Bethesda. "Improvise and innovate in order to survive as you search for answers. Prey is a bold new story set in a dangerous universe."

Check out the new trailer below. After that, check out nine minutes of gameplay footage over at Game Informer.

I'm not gonna spoil it, but I am gonna say that I am looking forward to this one! I loved the original Prey even though the demo of it was all the best parts stitched together.

This looks great. Reminiscent of P1 also, in transforming to access blocked areas

The footage looks boring, that's not Prey.

        Also GameInformer's video player sucks.

It's totally unrelated to the original with portals and shit, they just reused the name they already owned.

        So good.

I'm less intrigued now than I was when I first saw the trailer for this reboot. BHowever it's Arcana and that buys a lot of goodwill. So I'm in.

This was probably the thing that excited me the most from the game awards last night.

Is the picture quality of that trailer terrible for everyone else?

Spring 2017. Sweet! This looks like a total mash-up of System Shock 2, Dead Space, BioShock, and Metroid. I'm shocked there isn't more excitement for this game.
