Nintendo has shared some Zelda-related news this morning, although we can guarantee it isn’t anything you expected to hear. That’s because the company has announced it has partnered with SCRAP to bring an escape room experience based on The Legend of Zelda called “Defenders of the Triforce.”

Defenders of the Triforce is being described as more than just an escape room experience as players will need to work in teams of six in order to solve a mystery within a huge area, but it needs to be solved within a set time limit. The experience will allow guests to interact with a number of classic items and characters from The Legend of Zelda series, which includes Goron, Zora, and the Kokiri tribes. When players discover a new item, it can then be used to solve a puzzle in order to move into a new area.

The Defenders of the Triforce Puzzle Tour will be headed to eight cities across North America starting in January. Tickets can be purchased at its official website, but make sure the tour is coming to a city near you.

  • San Francisco – Jan. 31-Feb. 5
  • Los Angeles – Feb. 10-12
  • San Diego – Feb. 24-25
  • Seattle – TBA
  • Phoenix – TBA
  • Houston – TBA
  • Chicago – TBA
  • New York – TBA

Once participants complete the main puzzle experience, they’ll be able to enter an area with photo opportunities as well as a promotional lounge filled with exclusive merchandise available for purchase.
