Nintendo 3DS focused Nintendo Direct coming later this week

No. Nintendo will not be discussing the Nintendo NX during this stream. Stop asking.

Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo Direct stream will be taking place on September 1 at 7am PT.

The upcoming Nintendo Direct will focus exclusively on Nintendo 3DS games, so expect to hear more about Pokemon Sun & Moon, Dragon Quest VII and maybe even Lady Layton and less about the Nintendo NX. In fact, Nintendo makes it a point to mention this in it’s press release saying “NX will not be discussed or revealed in this broadcast.”

Nintendo recently revealed a new New Nintendo 3DS XL that features a special Galaxy style and will go on sale later this week for $199.99.

  Nintendo has four weeks to announce NX if they stick to their Sept time frame. But, TGS is coming, so could be then.

    I believe their timeframe was "this year", and that September was a guess based on the trade show.

      I'm trying to find it, but I coulda sworn Nintendo specifically said Sept when they pulled out of announcing the NX originally. If I can find the original statement I'll post it. Google's not bring it up to the top of the list for me.
