The embargo for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has officially been lifted, which means you’re going to see a lot of publications publishing their reviews today. We had every intention to have it published today, but we ran into a major technical hiccup that impeded our ability to deliver our review along with everyone else.
We were in the process of reviewing the PC version of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, while many other publications chose to review the PlayStation 4 version. During our time with the game, we ran into a number of technical glitches, one of which caused the game to crash over and over again no matter what we tried to do.
After exhausting every possible avenue to try to fix glitch, even going as far as lowering our graphics setting to the lowest option possible, we had no other choice but to report our findings with Square Enix’s public relations team. We were told a Day 1 patch was currently in the works which would hopefully help fix our situation, although yesterday, Nvidia released a compatibility patch that fixed the issue we ran into.
As a result, we are now furiously attempting to complete Deus Ex: Mankind Divided to get our review published prior to its official release on August 23.
