Filmmaker Michael Bay has always tried to immerse you in his movies. Now he wants to immerse you in his games.

Bay has joined forces with The Rogue Initiative new collaboration to "produce immersive, virtual adventures offering gritty, danger-close action." The press release said Bay wants to bring his style of movie to the interactive experience.

In the partnership, Bay will direct and offer advice as a strategic advisor, while The Rogue Initiative will produce and develop original content in "cinematic-style" VR.

“I’ve known (The Rogue Initiative) co-founder Pete (Blumel) for a long time, and he’s put together a great team," Bay said in the press release. "I’m excited about building new visual worlds for this innovative medium with them.”

The company, which launched earlier this year, is working on several projects for film, TV and interactive VR. It is seeking partnerships with other companies to bring its creations to multiple platforms, including Sony Playstation, Oculus, HTC Vive, Samsung GearVR, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, feature film, network and cable television.

“We take a comprehensive approach in producing our IP for the entertainment landscape, specializing in film, television and interactive experiences with a focus on virtual reality," said Cathy Twigg, co-founder and Chief Production Officer. "This enables The Rogue Initiative to align with our partners in expanding our IP to various other platforms and media. We’ll be bringing this approach to the properties we co-create with Mr. Bay as well.”
