Ride on, dino hordes!

ARK: Survival of the Fittest is set to roar onto PlayStation 4 this summer, expanding beyond the realm of PC gaming to bring you PS4-exclusive eSports spinoff of the original ARK: Survival Evolved.

The game is set to make its debut as of July 19, and can support up to 72 players together at once in a Hunger Games-styled competition in a showdown to the death. It's an eSports-based bid aimed at players who enjoyed the original ARK: Survival Evolved, and it'll be available via the PS4 beta program pretty soon for you to try out.

With the PS4 version of the game there's an addition of a practice mode, which features offline split-screen support in the event you just don't feel like duking it out online. There's also several different game modes, including Free For All, 2-Player Tribes, 4-Player Tribes, 6-Player Tribes, and over 30 creatures available at beta launch. There's also several different ways for you to customize your own teams via "War Banners" that are actually broadcast during game events so you can really rep the Shack if you're awesome.
