Splatoon will be visiting a pineapple under the sea as a special SpongeBob Squarepants Splatfest will begin in just a few weeks.

Nintendo has partnered with Nickelodeon to bring this special Splatfest to Splatoon, which asks a very important question: who do you prefer: SpongeBob or Patrick? Sorry, Squidward fans. His invitation probably got lost in the mail.

The special Splatfest will offer a free in-game shirt with an image of either SpongeBob or Patrick, depending on who the player voted for.

The SpongeBob Squarepants Splatfest will kick off on April 23rd at 6am PT / 9am ET until April 24th at 12pm PT / 3pm ET for both North American and European players. This is the first Splatfest both North American and European players can participate in at the same time, making voting even more important on this side of the pond.
