HTC posts extensive update on HTC Vive shipping issues

Did your HTC Vive preorder disappear into the ether? HTC might have some answers.

There one minute, gone the next.

That's the issue many customers faced when their HTC Vive pre-orders were mysteriously cancelled last week, just prior to the VR headset's launch this week. So, what happened? HTC posted an update on its blog to provide answers to some frequently asked questions.

"Your Vive system will be shipped in the month noted in your order confirmation email," the company assures customers. Other answers address concerns such as priority given to payment method (there is none; orders are shipped first come, first serve) and what to do in the event an order is delayed.

While customers surely appreciate HTC's added clarity, some issues were not addressed. There's no solution for what to do about headsets dead on arrival, nor did HTC divulge the source of their shipping hiccups.

Have a concern about your (pending) Vive order? Head over to HTC's blog to scan the full list of Qs and As.
