During Square Enix's press conference, the publisher announced a new NieR game for PlayStation 4 and will be fully revealed in September 2015.

NieR is being developed by Platinum Games and will have a heavy focus on action.

It's been five years since NieR was released on last-gen consoles, making today's reveal quite surprising considering it felt like Square Enix forgot about the title entirely. Today's announcement was a relatively brief one, as you could see from the video below, but Square Enix says the game will receive a proper reveal this fall.
