Telltale teams up with Mojang for Minecraft: Story Mode
Did you ever want to experience a Telltale game set in the world of Minecraft? Neither did we, but now it's all we want to play.
Telltale and Mojang have partnered up to create a new episodic game series based on Minecraft, called Minecraft: Story Mode.
Minecraft: Story Mode will be set in the world of Minecraft and will feature Telltale’s iconic story-driven gameplay. The title will be a stand-alone product, meaning you won’t need to own a copy of Minecraft in order to enjoy it.
“Telltale's game series will mix new characters with familiar themes, in an entirely original Minecraft experience, inspired by the Minecraft community and the game that continues to inspire a generation.”
We’ll be learning more about Minecraft: Story Mode in 2015 with the game expected to be released across PlayStation, Xbox, iOS, Android, and PC.

That sounds great if its more minecrafty and less choose your own adventure. My girls will love it.

Is the Borderlands game anything like Borderlands? I get the impression this will be standard TT fare, set in the world of Minecraft.
I'm sure kids will still love it though. Both my girls have suddenly gotten very interested in the game.

Hmmmmm. As much as I enjoy Minecraft and respect Telltale... Judging how the movie development process went I have little faith in Mojang being able to handle anything story based.
I hope Microsoft parachuted in someone good to broker this project, otherwise I reckon Telltale have a big mountain to climb. That said, it'll make money whether it's great or shit. -
Well.....no one thought Telltale and Borderlands would mix and that seems to be doing ok right now.
